Ekornes is a Norwegian furniture company that designs and manufactures reclining armchairs and sofas. You might have seen it marketed under the Stressless brand name.

As a brand, Ekornes understands that it’s not enough to sell extremely comfortable, chic furniture — the brand has to help people adopt a stress-free lifestyle. That’s why Ekornes wanted to create its lifestyle blog, the aptly-titled “World’s Most Comfortable Blog.”

Featuring content about style, fashion, Norwegian life and physical wellness, the blog reflects Ekornes’s sleek Norwegian style as well as its stress-free ethos.

I started working on the Ekornes account while I was a content writer and strategist at the Tombras Group. I worked with my team at Tombras to come up with blog ideas and create a content calendar.

Afterward, I conducted research and drafted the blog content. We used the blog’s content to produce social media buzz and boost the Norwegian furniture company’s brand awareness in North America.

“Technology and wide access to affordable broadband Internet have made it possible for many of us to work from home a few times a week. Others can pursue remote positions with companies around the world!

Unfortunately, when you start telecommuting, it’s easy to fall into an ‘always-on’ mindset. With work emails flooding your personal devices and your “office” just steps away, the boundary between your professional and personal worlds can start to blur.
